Food Now Vs. Food Back Then

If you “grew up” in the 60s, 70s, 80s, or early 90s, a lot of the processed food you ate is not the same food today.
.
For some reason, the favorite and most commonly used item when someone tells me this quote, is with Frosted Flakes. They say... What’s the big deal? I ate Frosted Flakes all the time as a kid, and I’m just fine.
.
Here’s the right answer. If you are older than 30, the Frosted Flakes ingredients you ate are not the Frosted Flakes ingredients today in that Tony the Tiger box.
.
Before 1996 there was no such thing on the market as gmo corn. Kellogg’s used just corn. Corn is their number 1 ingredient. Before 2007, they used just sugar. Now according to their website, they do use gmo sugar. So the ingredients currently inside the Organic Frosted Flakes are similar to the ones you ate before 1996. Organic is not some type of new food. Organic is the food we used to have.
.
As I’ve stated before, I don’t necessarily have an issue with genetically modified crops. But I do not support, genetically modified crops that were modified to grow when sprayed with glyphosate. Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Round Up. And 3 court cases recently have been awarded millions and billions of dollars due to the glyphosate being linked to causing cancer. And there are thousands of more court cases waiting their turn.
.
Now I have some followers, who like glyphosate. And here’s the great thing about America. No one is dictating what you can and can’t eat. No one is controlling what to believe or not to believe. And we have the personal freedom to choose what we want to feed our bodies and our children’s bodies. And we are provided with a wealth of resources to do our own research with. I am purely just a resource for people, stating dates and research. My only goal is to help educate others as to how our food and products have changed over the years, how to make small simple better choices, and how making these better choices can help our overall health. But you have the power to choose for yourself and enjoy the choices you make!
